What is physical therapy?
Most people think physical therapy is for surgery or sprains, and that’s true, but it’s also a lot more than that. Here’s a quick guide to what we do!
Physical therapy must be provided by a licensed clinician, and it’s even better if that person is a Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT). As a patient, you need a significant amount of one-on-one time with your physical therapy provider, and you should see the same provider each session. A physical therapist or Doctor of Physical Therapy must be certain to provide manual (hands-on) care each session, and should get to know you as a person — not just as an injury.
You have the right to choose where you go for physical therapy, and since NJ is a Direct Access state, you can also come straight to our practice without a prescription or referral.
All of our providers are Doctors of Physical Therapy, and most are also Board Certified or board prepared in a specialty area.
Who can benefit from Physical Therapy?
EVERYONE! Here are some examples of reasons our patients have come to us:

We also love taking on complex cases, and we love helping people who have been to other PT places or health professionals but haven’t found relief or still don’t have a diagnosis. What makes our practice different is the quality time we spend with you, our Doctoral-level education and continued training, our Board Certifications, and the “whole person” approach we take when building your care plan.
We want you to know we are passionate about advocating for our patients and assisting them in achieving their goals. We see every visit as an opportunity to reassess what’s going on for you, and to ensure you are getting the best possible care. We’ve achieved some phenomenal outcomes with our patients — check out our Success Stories section to see more!
What should I expect?
Set aside about 60-90 minutes for your first appointment, and about 60 minutes for future appointments.
We see our patients one-on-one, three times per week — it’s very important to come this frequently so we can help you to feel better faster.
You will see the same Doctor of Physical Therapy each session, and you will work as a team to find the best course of action for you. The relationship between you and your Doctor of Physical Therapy is so important, because that’s how we customize your program, ensure it addresses your specific goals and needs, and changes as you begin to feel better.
We work with most insurances, and if needed we also provide flexible payment arrangements. As a special benefit to you, our Client Care team will call your insurance company before you come in, and let you know exactly what to expect.
If you’re ready to start, check out our Your First Visit page for some things to complete before your first appointment! You can also come meet us first if you like! Reach out to email@example.com.
